‘I literally gasped when I saw Callala Beach for the first time. The still azure water, the white squeaky sand. Looking over to a headland. The next day when it was overcast and windy we tried to walk all the way to the Huskisson sandbar, didn’t quite make it. This oil, the 3rd in my body of work of this size, is also about walking away from the marks. The price is the postcode of Callala, all homes have a postcode.’
