Claire by Camelia Smith
This sculpture piece was made while the model was sitting during a number of group sessions at a sculpture group through the Queanbeyan Art Society.
Finalised, fired and glazed in my studio in Kambah. The piece is from Feeney’s Clay BRT fired to 1280 degrees Celsius with a Walkers ‘Copper Rust’ glaze.
The sculpture depicts ‘Claire’ standing defiantly with her arms near her hips daring the viewer to question her.
