Artist Statement

‘Three generations of my family have spent time here. Lady Martins is a secluded little beach at the edge of the RPEYC, ‘the Yacht Club’, in Sydney. We have had many a lunch on the lawn, swam in the harbour, celebrated birthday’s, made BIG announcements and watched the world sail by… absolutely home for me.’

About the Artist

Artist Jennifer Baird is a professional mid-career artist, working across the mediums of painting, collage, lino and screen printing. Jennifer trained as a textile designer, reigniting a passion for screen printing through the public access Megalo Print Studios. Printing on paper, in small editions of 10, Jennifer applies ink to the seascape prints and is also exploring abstract CMYK printing. ‘I was meant to be a printmaker.. I love the sound of the squeegee pulling ink through the screen’. An Award winning artist, Jennifer has also been a Finalist in numerous Art Prizes.
