Artist Statement
‘The Clyde River Bridge was the boundary where a little houseboat could go no further. We really didn’t go that far, preferring the quiet and less busy upper reaches of the river. Although, in saying that, the Clyde is a very busy and much loved river, despite the jellyfish.’
About the Artist
Artist Jennifer Baird is a professional mid-career artist, working across the mediums of painting, collage, lino and screen printing. Jennifer trained as a textile designer, reigniting a passion for screen printing through the public access Megalo Print Studios. Printing on paper, in small editions of 10, Jennifer applies ink to the seascape prints and is also exploring abstract CMYK printing. ‘I was meant to be a printmaker.. I love the sound of the squeegee pulling ink through the screen’. An Award winning artist, Jennifer has also been a Finalist in numerous Art Prizes.
