‘When I lived in Sydney I was always calmed by the ocean horizon. It provides space for the millions of people who call Sydney home. We spent a bit of time in Maroubra, where Mahon Pool sits, at the bottom of a small cliff. Again I’m drawn to the simple composition. The ocean pool, the horizon. This tiny artwork expresses that space for me.’
