When I came across this boat at Wollongong Harbour I was immediately attracted to its red hull. I saw this drawing as fragments of interesting shapes, colours and textures. The weathered timbers and concrete allowed me to incorporate some of my favourite frottage techniques. ‘San Rocco Star’ was indeed a fine subject!
